F.I.R.E 2006: The biggest reggae festival in the Center-West featured the Gladiators! Check it out!

On May 14th, the third edition of Centro-Oeste's biggest reggae festival brought one of the most important names in the style. After so much waiting, The Gladiators arrives in Brasília to perform in front of an audience of more than 2,000 people. The opening of the show was by the guys from Rastafire, a band with a strong religious nature, which preaches the word of God and quality Roots Reggae. Highlight for Nyabinghi marking on the beat. After Rastafire, it was the turn of Mente Sã, a well-known band in the region performing 2 hours of a lot of reggae. "Mente" is part of the new crop of Roots bands from Brasilia, and wherever they go they enchant the public with their songs full of social issues, love, peace, nature and especially God... peculiar when it comes to F.I.R.E. 2006. Next up was the American singer, Zema, who participated playing some of her hits with the Gladiators, impressing the crowd both with her look and the quality of her voice and music. And, the last attraction of the night is the most anticipated. Direct from Jamica to Brazil, The Gladiators! More than three decades of baggage was missing from its main leader and founder, the singer and guitarist, Alberth Griffiths. O, the band's icon, has been suffering from serious health problems for some time, but his son Al Griffiths replaces him very well. In a few moments you can feel like you're listening to Albert himself some 20 years ago. Al starts singing hits that made the band famous in his father's voice, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The crowd followed the band with great fervor, moving Al Griffiths several times. Without a shadow of a doubt the best show in Brasília so far. To close the show, "Soul Rebel" is performed and accompanied until its conclusion by an uninterrupted choir. Creepy!
