Tribo de Jah parts ways with record label and goes independent! Read all about it on Surforeggae!

SÃO LUÍS - What? You're going through one of the best moments of your career. Depois de break off of their own free will with their label, Indie Records, the maranhense band is following the trend of the market to launch works independently.

- What? We'd rather leave the label. It was our choice and for now, we want to stay that way. The record companies no longer have the same support as before, so much so that some multinationals are thinking of leaving the Brasil. Sem elas, the artist's work is also freer -, justified the singer Fauzi Beydoun. Os CDs who will arrive in August to the national market were recorded in São Paulo, for almost three months of much work. Each album contains 15 new songs and was a great effort to reconcile the busy schedule of shows with the recording. The idea of launching a work in Portuguese and another in English arose from the good acceptance that the band has had in the foreign market.

- What? I don't know any group that made two simultaneous releases the way we're doing. We have a large audience not only in Brasil, but also abroad, where we have done many shows. The people there always ask for our CDs e was then we thought we'd make a record totally focused on these fans, made in English. When we travel, we will make the release of this album - explained the singer of Tribo de Jah. Cada work will follow a different disclosure.

- What? Work aimed at the outside market will be sold in Brasil, but on a small scale. We really want the audience here short, said The Babylon Inside. And it's out there that the group has been standing out at various shows and world festivals. Nas presentations that it performs, either by Europa e Estados Unidos or by América Latina, the public fills to closely check out the true root reggae, born in Maranhão, which wins always more admirers. Borders are being crossed thanks to the commitment of the band members themselves.

- What? We have no support, we go on our own. And we've had good receptivity. Em Londres, for example, where we did a show recently, the tickets were sold out and large producers were present. The criticism has also been favorable -, counted Beydoun. Tanto The Babylon Inside (in Portuguese), as Love To The World, Peace To The People (in English), bring themes that the band always preaches in their works, such as the social side, challenger, political, spiritual and, of course, without forgetting love.

- What? We always print elements of Brazilian music, this is very important to us. We also seek to bring messages to the public. In these works, our social, spiritual, disputing approach... Reggae asks for it. Some terms, such as roots, Babylon, for example, were introduced by us in Brasil”, revealed Fauzi. Agora is to prepare to enjoy the new stones that the band will show to the Marian public.
