The reggae family suffers another loss: Cedella Booker, Bob Marley's mother, has died! Check it out!

Cedella Marley Booker, best known for being the mother of the greatest Reggae idol of all time - Bob Marley, passed away on the night of last Tuesday, April 8, 2008. According to reports, "Mother B", as she was known, died while sleeping and was 81 years old. Born in Kingston, capital of Jamaica, Cedella married Captain Norval Sinclair Marley at the age of 18, a white Jamaican descendant of English people. From this marriage, Bob Marley was born, who had contact with his father only a few times. Norval died in 1955, victim of a heart attack at the age of 60. "Mother B" was living in Florida, United States, having written two books about her son: "Bob Marley, My Son" and "Bob Marley: An Intimate Portrait by His Mother". Cedella also showed her artistic gifts by releasing the album "Awake Zion" with The Wailers and "Smilin’ Island of Song". The family is preparing a memorial in honor of the family matriarch. Cedella also starred in a sad episode when she was interviewed by MTV magazine, where the published article was one of the most disrespectful things ever published regarding reggae.
