On July 1st, International Reggae Day takes place, the international day of reggae, which will be celebrated in several places around the world, including Jamaica, where parties will take place in different parts of the country, such as studios, concert halls and the Bob Marley Museum. At Brasil the party has its headquarters and theme confirmed: Tapas Club, at São Paulo and the pre-release of “BAMBAS DOIS”, a new project by producer BiD, in which big names in Jamaican music sing about rhythms from the north and northeast of Brasil. International Reggae Day has been held since 1994 and in 2000 it was made official by the government. The “BAMBAS DOIS” project will be heavily involved in the celebrations, both here and in Jamaica, as the singles are being played on local radio stations and there will be a TV special about the recordings. The Brazilian party marks the launch of the vinyl compact of the BAMBAS DOIS single, which features on Side A “Only Jah Love”, with the current king of Jamaica Sizzla Kalonji and Lado B “All Faya”, with Jesse Royal and Karina Buhr. These songs can also be downloaded for free through the Natura Musical portal (www.naturamusical.com.br). On the same occasion, the "Only Jah Love" music video will be released, recorded at São Paulo with the participation of Sizzla himself and directed by Gustah and Macau Amaral. In the pick-ups, 4 specialists in the genre: DJ Yellow P (Java), Otávio Rodrigues (Bumba Beat), Lord C. Lecter (Dancehall/New Roots) and Dj Gustah (Echo Sound System), who produces the album alongside BiD. In addition to the DJs, the party features a team of heavy-duty hostesses: Dada Yute, Rica Caveman “Nomad” and BiD himself, of course. The BAMBAS DOIS project had a launch show at Natura Nós, the first single will be released as a compact on July 1st and on CD in the second half of the year. BAMBAS DOIS is sponsored by Natura Musical.
