Aston "Familyman" Barrett, bassist of the Wailers, receives an award in recognition of his legacy!

Aston Barrett, better known as "Familyman" ("Homem de Família" - a nickname he earned because of his huge number of children) received an award from Bass Player LIVE! Magazine in recognition of his legacy. The magazine, one of the most respected when the subject is Barrett's chosen instrument, held an awards ceremony in Hollywood bringing together various artists, renowned manufacturers and, of course, many fans. Barrett was defined as one of the "Architects of Reggae" and told a little of his story not only alongside Bob Marley, but from the first chords on the bass he himself built with a random piece of wood.
