Ziggy Marley aims for new directions and a reconnection with his roots through his new album!

Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of King Bob Marley, wants to go new ways with his latest work, "Fly Rasta". With ten tracks, the album is scheduled to be released on April 15th. It's a concept album. I tried to make the arrangements extremely seriously and had to re-educate myself for this. I looked for the more emotional side, without linearities..." - says Ziggy. The album is a hybrid of reggae, funk, soul and punk, and the singer had the assistance of co-producer Dave Cooley, known for his good work with independent rock bands. Ziggy invited his sisters, Sharon and Cedella - both from Melody Makers - to sing backing vocals. Ziggy wants to reach new audiences with "Fly Rasta", and is concerned about never leaving his roots aside, with one of his main focuses being reconnection with the Jamaican public. The album features U-Roy, which he considers one of his favorites. Working with U-Roy was one of the greatest things in my career. The man is a legend among legends. It was a privilege! The official tour of "Fly Rasta" starts on April 8th in Los Angeles (USA), at Clube Nokia, and three days later it's Florida's turn. On April 15th, the album's official release date, he will leave for Europe, in Brussels, Belgium. Is there another Grammy coming?
