Jackie Bernard, lead singer of the vocal trio The Kingstonians, one of the great names of the rocksteady era. Hits such as 'Sufferer', 'Whiney Whiney', 'Hold Down' and 'Singer Man' (the latter re-recorded by UB40) were notable in the artist's career.

His last years were very tough. In addition to the health complications caused by diagnosed diabetes, Jackie was also experiencing serious financial problems. Many fans helped by raising funds to improve their conditions.
On the last 15 day of September, Jackie succumbed to pneumonia and passed away. Here in Brazil he performed in some cities together with the people of You&Me, led by DJ Jurássico. Finally, the well-deserved rest of the Jackie Bernard icon.
