Missing since the last day 10, the legendary drummer Style Scott was finally found in the District of Williamsfield / Manchester, but dead. A week before his disappearance, his wife had been murdered, which ended up sparking rumors throughout Jamaica that Scott would suffer the same fate, and apparently by the same people.
The police are investigating the case diligently, as this is a public and well-liked person, and consequently the demand for answers will be high. Reggae music loses not only a natural talent, but a true rhythm legend.
(Drummer Style Scott)
He started his career very early while just hanging out in the studios with Prince Far I, soon after becoming a member of his band 'The Arabs'. At the end of the 80 decade, 'The Arabs' became Creation Rebel and toured including Europa, when Style met the great producer Adrian Sherwood in England.
Since then he has developed many works with Adrian Sherwood as a producer for artists such as Bim Sherman and Dub Syndicate himself, an internationally known project. Still at 1978 he formed Roots Radics with Errol ’Flabba’ Holt and Eric ’Bingy Bunny’ Lamont.

They have recorded with countless artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Bunny Wailer, Israel Vibration, Barrington Levy, Dennis Brown, Don Carlos, Eek-a-Mouse, Frankie Paul, Horace Andy, Freddie Mcgregor, Hugh Mundell, John Holt, Johnny Osbourne, Leroy Smart, Linval Thompson, Michael Prophet, Ranking Joe, Sugar Minott, Triston Palmer, Wailing Souls, Yellowman and many others, that is, the cream of Jamaican reggae.
Style Scott was in Brazil for the last time in 2007 together with Israel Vibration, releasing the album "Stamina".
He always kept in touch with Surforeggae, and we had spoken to him on the phone not long ago, during Israel Vibration's tour in May of 2014 in Brazil. At the time he revealed that he would very much like to return to Roots Radics. He left and returned to the band many times due to other commitments with Dub Syndicate and other DUB projects he frequently performed with producer Scientist. May he rest in PEACE.
Check out this and other legends that have already left us, in the special section "In Memoriam".
