Another Jamaican legend leaves us. Rest in peace, great Nambo Robinson!

Jamaican music has just suffered another great loss. Trombonist Ronald "Nambo" Robinson passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, January 25. The 67-year-old musician began his career with Mystic Revelation of Rastafari and was founder of the band 809 alongside his great friend Dean Fraser, the Jamaican saxophonist. Nambo played and recorded with countless artists, including Black Uhuru, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Lauryn Hill, Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Bunny Wailer, The Tamlins, and he was a member of the "Taxi Gang" together with Sly and Robbie.
