Actor Ícaro Silva, a young talent of Brazilian drama, made an appearance on the Domingão do Faustão program where he was tasked with portraying the great Bob Marley. During rehearsals, the actor had to sing, perform and, like a good actor, try to internalize the king of reggae.

This moved Ícaro deeply, because Bob Marley is an icon who transcends music. Besides singing a lot about love, Bob preached incessantly about justice, social equality and peace among peoples, and the actor needed to embody this side as well to do well in his number.
That same night, the actor also performed as Ney Matogrosso and even Beyoncé, but clearly with Bob Marley things were more emotional and transformative:
Bob's hair became mine, Beyoncé's didn't. I'm thinking about getting some dreads after Pega Pega" — says the actor.

Right after the performance, visibly moved and crying, the actor shows that he truly understood what lies behind all the richness preached by the rhythm of Jah:
"We are at a moment when people are having to fight for who they are, having to fight to love who they love, indigenous people are having to fight for the land that is theirs... we need LOVE. Bob was talking about this a long time ago..." — reflects Ícaro.
"It is very difficult for Black people to have access to their own origins, the people were forcibly dispersed... and Bob Marley rebuilds our history, which is why we need to talk about Bob Marley, talk about love, talk about the unity of peoples... look into each other's eyes and say I LOVE YOU!" — he concludes.
