Spanish Town All Stars! Project releases a double album and documentary on the former Jamaican capital's music scene!
Created in the Old Road community, one of the oldest in Jamaica, and conceived to give voice to numerous local singers, the Spanish Town All

Created in the Old Road community, one of the oldest in Jamaica, and conceived to give voice to numerous local singers, the Spanish Town All Stars project, launched in 2016, is the result of a partnership between Jamaican artists Jonathan Wolfman and I-Kushna and Brazilian producer Jeff Boto.
The idea is to show the world the large number of talented singers in this region, from the youngest to the oldest, as well as portraying daily life in the community and the historical importance of Old Road and Spanish Town. The project resulted in a double album, released on digital platforms, and a complete documentary that is expected to be officially released in the first half of 2019.
The work was made possible through support from the famous Jamaican brewery Red Stripe and the São Paulo Municipal Department of Culture through the Artistic Creation Support Grant - Reggae Language.
With 24 tracks in total, the album "Old Road We Come From" combines classic riddims and original compositions, mixing Brazilian and Jamaican musicians with Old Road singers such as Izula, Pepper Star and Ico Flamez. For now, it is possible to watch four already released parts of the documentary and listen to the complete double album in full.
Spanish Town to SP: musical connection
The album "Spanish Town All Stars | Old Road we come from" was recorded in 2016, within the Old Road community. Producer Jeff Boto and his longtime friend, Jamaican singer I-Kushna, had the idea of joining local artist Jonathan Wolfman and gathering the singers of Spanish Town for the production of an album, compiling more than 20 songs with young and old talents from the region. The recordings involved the entire community, with the support and participation of 15 artists. The result of this project goes beyond the recording of the double album: an exclusive documentary recounting the making of the album and the musical history of the city of Spanish Town also emerged from this connection.
