Solano Jacob is nationally known for being one of the founders of the band Leões de Israel and also for his solo album "O Santuário da Família". The singer and composer has always believed in the synchrony between the musical environment and academic training for our individual and social progress - he is a writer, biologist and philosopher from the University of São Paulo. He has also worked as a teacher for over ten years and has extensive experience in the academic field.

O COURSE

Solano has just launched a course that aims to develop critical thinking about certain central issues within philosophy. A historical and comparative path is outlined on topics such as: theories of knowledge, the possibility of knowledge, human nature, the episteme of love and the immortality of the soul.Several authors will be studied as a basis for investigations. Anyone can participate, as long as they are interested in learning and expanding their frontiers of knowledge. There will be specific weekly readings for anyone who can or wants to exercise. The total course lasts six months and is divided into three modules of two months each. This first module of the course will have total duration of two months and will be divided into eight classes.
