The "Jamaica Reggae Industry Association" (JARIA), the Jamaican Reggae pro association, has joined forces with the Jamaican Ministries of Culture, Gender, Entertainment, Sports and Tourism to celebrate Reggae Month 2021.
During February, a series of interesting events will take place. In Latin America, Surforeggae and Riddim Agency are exclusive partners.
One of them, the "Reggae Open University" will take place weekly and is aimed at professionals in the entertainment industry. Meetings will take place weekly via videoconference.

SCHEDULE
04/Feb: It will explore topics covering event promotion, digital auditing, music distribution and other services. 11/Feb: Participation of some of the most notable Jamaican Reggae professionals and artists who will share their perspectives related to music as an element in the search for freedom in Jamaica and other countries. 18/Feb: An overview of the city of Kingston and what it means for Jamaican music and entertainment. 25/Feb: It will explore the impact of Reggae internationally under the theme "Reggae has gone Global". In addition to the "Reggae Open University, JARIA will carry out a series of actions in schools in Jamaica, featuring notable artists and producers such as Marcia Griffiths, Ibo Cooper and Copeland Forbes. On Wednesdays, the "Reggae Wednesdays" project will take place, which will include tributes and broadcasts focused on specific themes. To close the month of Reggae, on February 28th the "JARIA AWARDS" will take place, which is like a Grammy for Jamaican Reggae. The award has 18 categories and will feature 27 honorees.Category
