The unmistakable voice of Helio Bentes presents fans with something new in 2021: the release of his first solo work entitled ‘PRA MY GENTE’. But stay calm! Despite the new project that will be officially presented on March 26th on all digital music platforms, the singer remains the lead singer of the reggae band Ponto de Equilíbrio, dedicating himself attentively to both. Helinho, as he is known, lives in his hometown, the famous Vila Isabel, in Rio de Janeiro, where he created roots and affections, participating and getting involved in charitable events within the community called Morro dos Macacos. The single ‘PRA MINHA GENTE’ features the melody of current Jamaican reggae and lyrics written by Helio himself, who values ​​peace and equal rights. “This song is inspired by our poor and suffering people, who despite all the sorrows, struggles and injustices, manage to make the favela an environment of harmony”, reveals the singer. Produced by Thiago Jah Bass and set to the sound of Raphael Galhardo's guitar, the song also features a music video directed by PH Stelzer and signed by the production company Ganja Filmes in partnership with the Blessed studio. ‘Time will pass and we will overcome; Just open your heart for us to connect’, are some of the choruses that calm and bring strength through the sound waves of ‘PRA MY GENTE’.
