Popular European football club Ajax will launch a Bob Marley tribute jersey! See it!
According to several specialized websites and fan forums, Ajax will launch a shirt celebrating Bob Marley, the King of Reggae. The football star's connection with Ajax began in 2008, when a DJ at the Amsterdam Arena played the famous song “Three Little Birds” after a friendly match between Ajax and Cardiff City. The song caught on right away and became an anthem for the fans (see the video below).
In 2018, Ky-Mani Marley, one of Bob's sons, sang the song before a game against AEK in the Champions League. The idea of Adidas, Ajax's official sporting equipment supplier, is to officially launch the clothing, which will be the club's third uniform for the 2021/22 season, on May 11, the date on which Bob Marley's death will be 40 years old.

The shirt, beautiful by the way, is all black, but with details in red, yellow and green on the collar and the three supplier stripes. The colors are associated with the Rastafari culture, spread and followed by Bob Marley. Furthermore, on the inside of the shirt, the three “Xs” characteristic of the city of Amsterdam have these same colors and are accompanied by three silhouettes of little birds in allusion to the anthem “Three little birds”.
