SAVE SOIL! Natiruts joins a global movement of crucial awareness!
The band brings the warning from the Conscious Planet foundation, headed by the Indian Sadhguru Our soil is disappearing, turning into sand. The alarming message comes from the largest ecological movement in the world: "Save the Soil" which is an initiative of the Conscious Planet foundation to mobilize people and governments of all nations to establish lasting policies to revitalize soil and ecology. The project was launched in 1998 by Indian Sadhguru, a yogi, writer and frequent speaker at the World Economic Forum and United Nations (UN) agencies. Between March and June 2022, Sadhguru covered 30,000 km, on a 100-day journey, starting from the United Kingdom, passing through Europe and the Middle East, until arriving in India. Along the way, he met with world leaders and media outlets, inspiring and alerting at least 3.5 billion people, encouraging them to drive national policy changes that lead to increased concentrations of soil organic matter.
(Sadhguru, from Conscious Planet)
No matter how much wealth, education and money we have, our children will not be able to live well unless we restore the soil and water", says Sadhguru. "Taking care of the environment is not an obligation, it is our life", he concludes.

ENGAGED LIKE THE GREATEST

Here in Brazil, Natiruts joins forces with Sadhguru and the "Save the Soil" movement to do the same. The band, which is known and respected throughout the world, with great influence in South America and which has more than 9 million fans on its social networks, is already famous for embracing environmental causes, and joins other illustrious supporters of this cause such as the Dalai Lama, Will.I.am, Deepak Chopra, Tom Brady, Maria Helena Semedo, Maluma, Juhi Chawla, Tony Robbins and others.

EXTREME CONCERN

See some points present in the messages that cause acute concern about the future of humanity. ● 52% of the world's agricultural land is already degraded; ● By 2050, 90% of Earth's soil could be degraded unless we act now; ● We only have 60 years of soil left; ● Degraded land is also often less able to retain water, which can worsen flooding; ● The United States has already lost 50% of its topsoil; ● Food production could fall by up to 30% in 20 years if soil extinction is not prevented; ● Soil impoverishment has reduced the nutrients in our food: 60% reduction in protein in vegetables in India. 87% reduction in minerals in vegetables in the United States; ● For sustainable agriculture, the soil should have at least 3% organic matter. The loss of organic matter and carbon turns the soil into sand; ● 75–85% of soil in Europe's major agricultural nations has less than 2% organic matter; ● 62% of India's agricultural land has less than 0.5% organic matter.

DOES THE PROBLEM HAVE A SOLUTION?

Yes, but we depend on specific and urgent actions, such as keeping the land covered with vegetation and shade, for example. Vegetable residues generated by trees increase soil organic matter. Increasing soil organic carbon (organic matter) can also halt the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere. Soil revitalization will increase the income of disadvantaged people who depend on agriculture around the world by 75%. Soil improvement promotes crop production by 20 - 40%. Increasing soil carbon concentration will increase water reserves by 37 trillion liters, ending water scarcity for 600 million people.
