Paramount released the poster and first trailer for the biopic of eternal reggae icon Bob Marley this Thursday (7/6). Titled "Bob Marley: One Love", the feature stars Kingsley Ben-Adir ("Secret Invasion") as the singer alongside Lashana Lynch ("007 - No Time to Die"), who plays his wife Rita Marley.
The preview highlights the singer's turbulent life and legacy, including moments from the beginning of his career in Jamaica to his immense rise to global fame. The scenes show the singer during performances and some of the conflicts he dealt with behind the scenes. The trailer also includes Marley's assassination attempt, which he survived.

The preview is also accompanied by striking reflections from the singer, driven by the reggae sound that won fans around the world with a message of love and hope, illustrated by the colors of Jamaica.
The feature is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, responsible for another recent biopic, "King Richard", about the father of tennis players Venus and Serena Williams. He also signs the screenplay alongside Zach Baylin (also from "King Richard").

Wife Rita and children Ziggy and Cedella Marley are among the film's producers, giving their blessing to the lead actors to portray them in the biopic. It is worth mentioning that Lashana Lynch was born in England but has Jamaican ancestry, while Kingsley Ben-Adir is also English with Caribbean ancestry.

Responsible for popularizing reggae around the world, Bob Marley died in 1981, at the age of 36, from cancer. But despite his early death, he left dozens of classics such as "Get Up, Stand Up", "One Love", "No Woman, No Cry", and "Could You Be Loved", which became eternal in the history of global pop music.
