Skol Tropical Beats, an event that brought togetherIsrael Vibration,Don CarlosandFully Fullwood Bandin Salvador, as well as other big names

Skol Tropical Beats, an event that brought togetherIsrael Vibration,Don CarlosandFully Fullwood Bandin Salvador, as well as other big names in national music, failed to completely satisfy the audience present. In addition to the heavy rain that fell on the night of the event, the main attractions had their shows reduced to an average of 40 to 50 minutes each, leaving a large part of the public angry. The reasons are still unknown, but the local attractions had a show lasting much longer than the international ones expected by everyone.
The performances started withFully Fullwood Band, with their tribute toPeter Tosh. With mastery and demonstrating a lot of harmony, the band played from “Coming in Hot” to “Equal Rights”, Tosh’s biggest hits. The audience was very small at the time and was running away from the rain, leaving the hugePituaçustadium semi-empty. Giving the impression that something was going wrong, the group left the stage without saying goodbye to the audience, in a show that lasted around 30 minutes.
Forgetting his problems,Don Carlos, with all his charisma, took the stage and stole the show. Accompanied by the bandDUB Vision, who magnificently played the hits “Hog and Goat”, “Just a Passing Glance”, “Frontline”, among others, Don took the Salvador audience into a frenzy. During the performance, the artist signed several paintings, t-shirts, CD inserts, and everything that was thrown at him on stage, always smiling and returning the audience's affection.
Also with a short performance,Don Carlossaid goodbye having really pleased the audience, leaving the hope that his next show will be soon and that this time it will be more complete.
The rain didn't stop, and the covered stands ofEstádio de Pituaçuwere the public's refuge during much of the performance of the bandAdão Negro, which was the next in the sequence, having performed a very lively show and already well known to the public, but without many new features. The already tired audience was waiting forIsrael Vibration&Roots Radics, which would close the event, showing once again that the event schedule was completely changed at the last minute.
AfterAdão Negro,Tribo de Jahshowed why they are the most respected Brazilian Reggae band in the country and abroad.Fauzy, lead singer of Tribo, led the show with a lot of positive vibes, singing romantic songs and making several criticisms regarding the current situation in the country. Among the national attractions, the Tribo was the one that most excited and pleased the public, who sang throughout the performance.
The confusing schedule of the event, which had announced the order of attractions completely different from what actually happened, broughtEdson Gomesto continue the Reggae night. Edson did the same show as the last events he participated in: good, but also nothing new. After a long wait, the public was finally able to watchIsrael Vibrationfor the second time in Bahia.
Accompanied byRoots Radics,WissandSkellyperformed a highly vibrant and short show. Songs like “Get up and go”, “Greedy Dog”, “Same Song”, “Licks and kicks” and “Ball of fire” left the audience ecstatic during the band’s “meteoric” performance atSkol Tropical Beats.Skellyentered the stage with a Bahia flag tied around his head, whileWissheld the Brazilian flag. The artists showed a real affinity with the Bahian public, with whom they interacted throughout the performance. Unfortunately the show was so reduced that there wasn't even time to sing songs from the new album “Fighting Soldiers”, leaving the majority with “I want more”.
Skol Tropical Beats, which had everything to be the biggest Reggae event ever held in Bahia, failed to completely satisfy the public who will now wait for its next edition with positive thoughts, so that everything goes well next time.
