This is another piece ofMarley's work found by the family, and which will be released in 2005. As if the king's immortality wasn't enough, "Slogans" comes to light, a track recorded byBob Marleyin 1979 and never released. The track, which comes in single format, will be part ofBob Marley's most anticipated album, the one full of new songs that everyone has always wanted. With King's biggest hits, "Africa Unite: The Singles" will include the single “Slogans”, which will be presented in November.
The recording was found by sonZiggy Marleyon a tape, searching through family archives. The most exciting thing is the "rumors" that at least six other unreleased songs may surface on the same compilation. The records are originally preserved and "Slogans" is an extremely rustic recording.
The producers responsible for the release invited some musicians to reformulate and make this rarity available to fans, including guitaristEric Clpaton, to record a more sophisticated instrumental accompaniment, along the lines of what the survivingBeatlesdid in the last decade with "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love", lost recordings ofJohn Lennon.
