Court ruling in Aston Barret's case against the Marley family comes out this week! Learn more about the dispute!

Bob Marley's bassist, Aston "Family Man" Barrett has been fighting in court for a long time, claiming his rights to his work built together with Bob Marley. Rita Marley and Chris Blackwel (Island Records) claiming that Aston Barrett and his brother Carlton Barrett (drummer for the Wailers) were just hired musicians "freelancers".

Aston proved in court through documents that it maintains seven contracts signed with rights reserved for "Bob Marley, Aston Barrett e Carlton Barrett". If the English court (the process is under evaluation in England) proves the authenticity of the copies of the contracts presented by Barrett, the bassist will probably receive the money that is rightfully his and that has been denied for several years by the widow Rita.
