Bob Marley Day: 14 hours of celebration for the King of Reggae!

Robert Nesta Marley, son of an English soldier and a Jamaican mother, was born in April 1945, in St. Ann, Jamaica, and recorded his first single in 1961. In 1979, while recording the album survival with EUA, Marley discovered that he had advanced cancer. At the beginning of 81 Marley received the decoration of Ordem Do Mérito from Jamaica, the highest of the País. Morreu on May 11, at Florida. Seu his body is buried in the mountains of St. Ann, 130 km from Kingston, where he was born. In 2006 it was 25 years without the king. Many states hold tributes to remember that their message has not and will never be forgotten.

No DF couldn't be any different, Bob Marley Day. Organizado by producer Tony Guardieiro, had more than 14 hours of celebration of the life and work of the King of Reggae, where in addition to lots of music, the regueira crowd could check out Reggae's Lounge Sindicato, with a display of rare materials about the history of Bob Marley, videos, vinyls, magazines, posters, accessories and crafts. Something unique here in Brazil, which impressed everyone who has already attended. O Surforeggae was there checking everything out.

It was a remarkable event, with nationally renowned bands and local bands, such as: Bnegão, Digitaldubs Sound, Rãs Bernado, Dj Loki, Dj´s Batidão Sonoro S.A. Dj Don Kikone, Dj´s Percussions Brothers, Brasucas and Liberdade Plena from DF opened the most anticipated show of the night: Lions of Israel! The band from São Paulo raised the crowd with their already renowned performance, recognized even at major international festivals.
