VP Records, a market-leading Reggae label, recently made a proposal to purchase Greensleeves Records. All this leads to the belief that the negotiation will take place on the value of 6.13 million dollars (approximately 11 million reais). In a few days we'll have an official position.
Having excelled in the 1980s, Greensleeves released essential works for any fan of the rhythm, having in their cast artists such as Barrington Levy, Junior Reid, Don Carlos, Yellowman, and more recently, Elephant Mann and Sean Paul. Greensleeves was founded in 1977 by Chris Sedgwick and Chris Cracknell. The merger of the two companies can leave VP even further ahead in the market, since the two have always been direct competitors.
