More lineup changes at Black Uhuru! Duckie Simpson takes over lead vocals! Read on Surforeggae!

Black Uhuru will be releasing soon by the end of October, a new album called "As The World Turns". After seven years without recording (the last album was Dynasty of 2001), this will be the first album in which Duckie Simpson - which has always been limited to doing the vocal harmonies, will participate as lead vocalist. Marked for being one of the largest Reggae groups of all time, and also what has most had different formations, Black Uhuru has already had names such as Don Carlos, Garth Dennis, Michael Rose, Andrew Bees, Junior Reid, Errol "Jay"Wilson, Puma Jones and Sly & Robbie. The group, which was born in 1974 and has already separated so many times because of fights and even lawsuits had after the release of Dinasty and the departure of Andrew Bees back from the great Michael Rose. Long discussions between Rose and Simpson, especially by copyright, led to the breakup between the two, which brought for a short period Junior Reid to the vocals again. It is said that Duckie is highly complicated to deal with, and that formations go and always come with him as a support pillar because it is what retains the registration of the name and the copyright of the group.
