Dada Yute breaks barriers and brings Rastafari culture to mainstream media! See it on Surforeggae!

Even though Rastafari culture is not very well known in our country, and the media doesn't air almost anything about the subject, a singer from São Paulo has recently managed to break down these barriers. This is the young Cauê Granello, better known as DADA YUTE. Coming from the new generation of Brazilian reggae, DADA YUTE have managed to put Rastafarian reggae in its deserved place. Thanks to the work published on its myspace (which has more than 900 daily visits, more than many well-known artists on Brasil), the Brazilian MTV was able to see this new talent. In November last year, while DADA YUTE was on tour at México with Rio de Janeiro's sound system DIGITALDUBS (www.esquemageral.com.br), having passed through several cities in that country, here at Brasil, MTV showed some vignettes with videos of the singer in its commercials. Recorded at producer Gustavo Sola's studio RED EYE, where the main Brazilian productions of the genre are produced today, DADA YUTE was able to show what's to come on their first album. In addition to the videos with some of his songs, there are videos talking about Rastafari culture in general, showing all Brazilian people what Rastafari music is. After DADA YUTE returned from the Mexican tour, he was invited to participate in another MTV program, SCRAP MTV, hosted by VJ Mari Moon. The program was shown live to the entire Brasil, where DADA YUTE was able to tell a little about his life and career as a Rastafarian artist at Brasil.
