... New year, new times... The Mato Seco group, in a partnership with Surforeggae, is honored to present firsthand its newest song, "RAIZ FORTE", an integral part of its latest album "Seco Mas Não Morto", scheduled to be released in mid-March. The CD, which was recorded and produced on the Tonelada Estúdio (SP), completely independent, at the end of 2008 will come out in parallel with a "making of", containing the narrative of the entire recording process. This new album is a visit to contemporary Música Popular Brasileira and the authentic Reggae Root, in a fusion of traditional rhythms. Elements of improvisation "Jazzístico", the sequenced cadence of the Nyambinghi and divine poetry are present in a breath of the words of strengthening and faith, which the band has always passed as one of its trademarks. The group is six years old and was formed by friends/brothers in São Caetano do Sul/SP, where they discovered reggae music that transformed their lives. In 2008, after a series of shows, having traveled almost all the capitals of the country, the natural path was the stop at the studio to finish the second work, which stands out for its musical vibration and experimental diversities. The Mato Seco comes in a growing and fast evolution, solidifying itself in every place it passes, moving and carrying the message of Peace and Good by the giant Brasil. With its highly captivating and true performance before the young and art-driven audience, the Mato Seco is truly a revelation of the new national root musicality. “...up top Mato Seco!
