Remembering is Living!

I'm going to talk about my passions, like football, samba-beira-mar, the sixties and its live festivals like those on TV Record, where we saw young surprises like Elis Regina, Edu, Tom, Gil, and of course Chico Buarque, among many others. Completing the team brilliantly, Luiz Gonzaga and Jackson do Pandeiro are the soundtrack to my lack of control, characterized by my doubt between whether I dance laughing with a "muié arretada", or whether I am in awe of the sad and unmistakable poems of the suffering backlands.

Have you thought? There live, seeing these stars emerging like never before... just that to comfort us in the face of the dictatorship that was ravaging our country. At the same time, on a distant island, but still in the third world, the island of magic... the island of “roots and culture”... the island no less militant than our continent... the Caribbean island called Jamaica, where the legendary trio The Wailers emerged, formed by the late geniuses Peter Tosh and Bob Marley, and the magnificent, and still firm, Bunny Wailer.

We saw a simple man, a Rastafarian until his death, set fire to Babylon and boost the pride of the invaded Africans by preaching a return to the "motherland", the promised Etiópia of green, yellow and red. At that time, the biggest star in the 3rd world visited Brazil, and played our football alongside Chico Buarque on the famous Politheama field! Tell me if you wouldn't also like to have been born at that time? Or rather, having been young at that time?
