Cidade Negra performs with its first vocalist, Ras Bernardo, at Virada Cultural Paulista!

The first vocalist's participation is unprecedented and was specially conceived for this São Paulo performance! Cidade Negra, which has just released the album "Que assim seja" (the band's eighth studio album), has confirmed presence at Virada Cultural on May 15, Saturday, at 11pm, on Stage 4, at Alameda Barão de Limeira. The show will feature the special and unprecedented participation of Ras Bernardo, the band's first vocalist, who will sing "Verdadeira Verdade" and other surprises alongside Alexandre Massau. The project is from the São Paulo Municipal Secretariat of Culture, which since 2005 has promoted cultural programming in the city for 24 uninterrupted hours. The CD "Que assim seja" brings the group's new lineup, at 24 years of career. Now a trio, it features the founders Lazão (drums) and Bino (bass) and the new vocalist, Alexandre Massau, from Belo Horizonte, former Preto Massa and Berimbrown. The repertoire includes new compositions by the trio Bino, Lazão and Alexandre Massau, "Porta da Favela", "Vem Morar Comigo", "Kaya Babilônia" and the song that gives the album its name, "Que assim seja"; plus old hits "Sombra da Maldade", "Girassol", "O Pensamento", "Firmamento", "Falar a verdade", and other hits and surprises. The band also has three supporting musicians, Alexandre Prol and Egler Bruno, both on guitar, who join veteran Alex Meirelles (keyboard).
