Surforeggae invited again to International Reggae Day in Jamaica!

After being the only representative from Brazil and South America in 2009 at "International Reggae Day" (Reggae International Day) in Jamaica, Surforeggae was once again invited to be part of the celebration. The IRD (International Reggae Day) celebrates Reggae as Jamaica's rich cultural legacy, history and global cultural impact. The theme for 2010 is "ILOVEJA" (I love Jamaica), and the event will take place again in the form of a symposium and music festival, in Kingston, in the Jamaican capital on July 1st, bringing together the main artists and businesspeople from around the world. This year discussions at IRD will focus on the theme "The power and responsibility of music and media to change Jamaica and the world". The discussions will take place at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, and via videoconference for various participants around the world.
