Neville Beckford, better known asJah Wooshpassed away on February 20th at the age of 58 from bone cancer.Jah Wooshfirst became known onPrince Lloyd's Sound System and released its first album in 1974. The artist who followed the sound system DJ/MC style, made rhymes over the most diverse riddims and despite not having reached the status of other greats of the genre such asU-RoyandBig Youth, he was highly respected. In addition to having released a series of successful LPs including albums such as "Religious Dread" and "Chalice Blaze",Jah Wooshhad a label called "Original", through which he released many essential works by names such asBim ShermanandFreddie Mckay.
