With high violence levels in Jamaica, son of one of the Skatalites' founders is murdered!

Lloyd Brevett, one of the founders of the internationally recognized group "The Skatalites" has just suffered a great loss in his family. At 80 years old, Lloyd, whose health is a little weak, had his son Okeene murdered last Sunday, February 26th. Okeene was killed in the Seaview Gardens community in Kingston, hours after receiving an award from JaRIA (Jamaica Reggae Industry Association) in which he represented his father. After what happened, Lloyd and his wife announced that they could no longer tolerate the violence in their homeland and that they would spend the rest of their days in another country. The police still have no clue as to the killers or the motivation for the crime.
