The dream is over! Just like Toots, Abyssinians are also out of São Paulo's Virada Cultural!

Whoever is planning to check out Virada Cultural this weekend (May 5th and 6th) at São Paulo, will miss out on seeing the two main attractions of the event previously announced. After the cancellation of Toots & The Maytals, the presence of the legendary The Abyssinians is also cancelled.

Copeland Forbes, Jamaican businessman and responsible for the The Abyssinians for the show at Brasil, declared today that the show was canceled due to breach of contract by the company that made the negotiation. With only one day left to travel for São Paulo, until then, air tickets, visas and part of the fee had not been made available as agreed.

In addition to being one of the most respected managers in Jamaica, with more than 50 years of experience with artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Black Uhuru, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, Luciano, Jimmy Cliff, Andrew Tosh, Sly and Robbie, among others, Copeland was recognized in 2012 by JARIA (Jamaica Reggae Industry Association) with the "Lifetime Achievement" award, which highlights his significant contributions and achievements in promoting Reggae on a global scale.
