Ponto de Equilíbrio records its first live DVD in Rio de Janeiro on June 14!

“Reggae a vida com amor” – within this premise, as stated in the song “Jah Jah Me Leve”, the band Ponto from Equilíbrio, one of the main reggae references in Brazil, records their first DVD on June 14th, at 10 pm, at Circo Voador. Ponto de Equilíbrio takes advantage of the great moment to present the new song “Estar com você” (Helio Bentes) to the public. The DVD will be recorded in Blu Ray format in high definition 5.1 sound, with Full HD images, meaning cinema-worthy production. "We have always dreamed of this moment. It will be a historical record. We will have some surprises, but, as the name says, we will only unveil them on the same day and enjoy them with whoever is with us", says bassist Pedro Pedrada. The band's characteristic independence can also be seen in this great production that features Ponto de Equilíbrio, L&M Produções and Circo Voador. The instruments, the way of singing, the music and the content of each lyric recall traditional Jamaican reggae. With “relaxantes e combatentes” songs, the proposal is much bigger than recording a DVD: it is to make a presentation, with artistic direction from the band itself, to remain in the fans’ memories. To this end, Ponto de Equilíbrio brought together a strong team, starting with the musician Rabu Gonzales, who directs the show; Rabú has already appeared on MTV and Multishow channels. His most recent work is the music video for singer Edi Rock featuring Seu Jorge. Designer João Bird and Gemeos are responsible for the scenario. Bird says that they translated the idea of ​​remembering the group's ten-year trajectory into a setting that is a house containing a kitchen, bedroom and living room. The kitchen with its pots and cutlery will house the percussion, the living room will be the space dedicated to the vocalist Helio Bentes, while the bedroom will represent the creation, where Ponto de Equilíbrio's biggest hits were born. According to the designer, the room will have a window from which the public will be able to see projections of environments such as favelas, urban centers, fields and notable environments in the band's history. The relationship with the environment is the main axis of the creations, therefore, the show's scenery is entirely made of canvas, reforested wood, bamboo and wicker. Formado Helio Bentes (vocals), André Sampaio (guitar), Lucas Kastrup (drums), Marcio Sampaio (rhythm guitar), Pedro Pedrada (bass), Tiago Caetano (keyboards and piano), and Marcelo Campos (percussion), the band rescues the roots of reggae by using music as socio-cultural resistance. "We are very happy to produce a work with our own personality, showing our trajectory and our musical diversity, without masks and with a lot of quality, a lot of music for everyone! It's like producing more seeds and spreading them throughout Brazil and the world through music", celebrates the band. With 12 years on the musical journey, Ponto de Equilíbrio takes lessons in their lyrics, fruits of the “rastafári” philosophy. And, if the mission is placed in their hands, they don't give up. Proof of this is that the group represented Brazilian reggae at AZGO Festival 2012, in Mozambique, Africa, now in May, and will soon go on its fourth tour in Europe. Used to singing and playing to capacity in concert halls in the main capitals of Brazil, with audiences of up to 30 thousand people, the band born in Vila Isabel, north of Rio, continues to be successful in carrying the Brazilian flag in favor of reggae.
