When it comes to Bob Marley, there is no shortage of content. There are collections, dozens of books, tributes, etc., but now, a good part of the story of the Jamaican idol who became a global reggae ícone can be seen in the comic biography recently released in Brazil - “Bob Marley - o guerreiro rasta” (Vergara & Riba Editoras, color, 64 pgs., R$ 34.90) - by Argentineans Diego Agrimbau and Dante Ginevra.
The comic shows the singer's childhood, in the Village of Nine Mile, in Jamaica, in the 1950s, when they believed he could read people's futures by reading their hands, until his death, in 1981, in a Miami hospital.

Marley underestimated the serious illness that would kill him at such a young age, 36 years old, but he had time to record great songs like “Get up, stand up”, “Three little birds”, “I shot the sheriff”, “Is this love”, “Buffalo soldier” and many other emblematic classics. For fans of reggae or the singer himself, if we can separate "ritmo" from "ícone", this work becomes mandatory for anyone who wants that extra bit of detail about the life of the king of reggae.
