If you like real Reggae, you are certainly vibrating right now with this news. After all, having together in a single night the leader of the biggest contemporary reggae band of today, true legends of Jamaican music, the most popular reggae band in the United States and the national band that has grown and stood out the most in recent years is not just any event. And so it will be in December! We will receive for the first time the show by "Professor" and his legends, the vibration of Rebelution's modern and authentic sound and the weight and authenticity of Mato Seco, all launching their new albums. PROFESSOR

A TRUE REGGAE CLASS - led by Harrison Stafford - also vocalist of Groundation, the biggest contemporary reggae band of today. Harrison taught the course "The History of Reggae" at Sonoma University in California and earned this nickname in Jamaica. According to the natives of the Island, the man's name sounded like two surnames and was somewhat complicated, so they christened him "Professor". And to give a Reggae class, he simply gathered some of the greatest Jamaican instrumentalists of all time - Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace (drummer for names such as Burning Spear and star of the classic film Rockers), Errol "Flabba" Holt (bassist of the Roots Radics Band who has accompanied names such as Israel Vibration, Bunny Wailer and Gregory Isaacs), Dalton Browne (guitarist also with a vast résumé, one of the favorites of the duo Sly & Robbie) and Lloyd "Obeah" Denton (disciple of Jamaica's most virtuosic keyboardist - Jackie Mittoo and who has also played with countless icons from his country). The album "Madness" (the result of the first gathering) yielded two extremely successful tours through Europe, and what was a meeting of friends united by the purpose of music became one of the most innovative and talked-about projects in world reggae. The response was so strong that during the second tour through Europe the group decided to record a live CD/DVD at the Reggae Sun Ska Festival in France - a show attended by more than 30,000 people. "Throw Down Your Arms" ("Abaixe as suas armas") is the name of the new live album being released and distributed digitally in South America by the Surforeggae/Sound System Brazil label. In addition to the songs from the album "Madness", some surprises are in the show's repertoire, including tracks by Burning Spear, Joe Higgs and Culture. It is pure emotion to be able to see these true music legends together!

MATO SECO

Born in São Caetano do Sul (São Paulo), Banda Mato Seco is today one of the greatest references in national reggae. The songs with intelligent lyrics and instrumentals carrying the weight of roots reggae are winning more and more fans throughout Brazil. Recently the band toured with Groundation and The Abyssinians, showing its strength in each of the eleven cities that hosted the show. Now the moment is the release of its new CD "Seco e Ainda Vivo", which will be distributed by the Surforeggae label. The CD was produced by genius Errol "Flabba" Holt, responsible for albums such as "Night Nurse" by Gregory Isaacs and "Milk & Honey" by Dennis Brown, Jamaican idols who have already left us. Flabba continues accompanying Israel Vibration on the road with his band Roots Radics and now also the Projeto Professor. Besides the illustrious presence and touch of the Jamaican genius, the CD features another island legend - Max Romeo (the very same from the hits "War Ina Babylon" and "Chase the Devil". Think that is too much? One of the tracks also features Harrison Stafford and Marcus Urani (Groundation), the biggest contemporary reggae band of today. Also valuing Northeastern culture, Oswaldinho do Acordeon gives a special touch to "Farinha Pouca", one of the album's most beautiful tracks. Mastering was handled by LION & FOX Studios in the United States, a reference for the biggest names in world reggae today and in the past. The studio was simply responsible for the sound of groups and artists such as Don Carlos, Bunny Wailer, Israel Vibration, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, Yellowman, Groundation, SOJA and Rebelution.

REBELUTION

The numbers do not lie! Rebelution, besides being the most prestigious reggae band in the United States, manages to reach true records with each of its releases. Their music has been defined by specialists as modern, optimistic, inspiring, engaged and with messages that make listeners feel they can make the world a better place. By joining conscious lyrics with new elements of contemporary music while keeping reggae roots, the band captivates not only lovers of this rhythm but fans of all musical styles. Born from the talent of Californians Eric Rachmany (vocals and guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums) and Marley Williams (bass), Rebelution emerged in 2004 with a self-titled EP that quickly transformed schoolmates into the most popular and requested reggae band in the United States. This can be easily proven by the impressive average of 23 shows per month and tours that last up to four uninterrupted months. In 2012 they released their new album “Peace of Mind”, produced by names such as Errol Brown (Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, and Bob Marley) and Yeti Beats (Kool Keith, George Clinton). Again they reached incredible numbers and remain to this day one of the most downloaded reggae albums on Itunes. On that occasion they innovated and made the album in three versions (acoustic DUB/instrumental and studio). Anyone who still does not know Rebelution's sound will certainly be surprised by the originality, vibration and good feelings it brings.
