Snoop Dogg has truly plunged headfirst into reggae. He converted to such an extent that he himself judges the old Snoop Dogg as dead, or, in a softer tone, that the "Dogg" has only undergone a transition to SNOOP LION. It is so true that his new album is called "Reincarnated" (Reencarnado). "La La La", the album's first single, no longer has the traits of his former work. IT REALLY IS REGGAE. With the help of rising singer Jovi Rockwell, Snoop Lion sings over a heavy, well-marked base, with all the touches and flavors of good, more current Jamaican reggae. The good thing about Snoop's change is that reggae has only to gain from his visibility, since the singer, besides being an icon, is one of the most sought-after celebrities in the United States.
