Reggae ambassador, Nabby Clifford, presents a selection of the best songs from the VP Records catalog on RDIO. Clifford is from Ghana (Africa), and is known as an ambassador of reggae in Brazil for strengthening the Jamaican rhythm in the country. The singer arrived here at the end of the 80s, and launched the first reggae program in Brazil, POSITIVE VIBRATION, on the radio "Fluminense FM" in Rio de Janeiro.

The story of VP (whose name comes from the initials of founder Vincent Chin and his wife Patricia) begins fifty years ago, in Kingston, Jamaica. At that time, Mr. Chin maintained the juke boxes that were in practically every bar on the island. Using records that were constantly discarded in favor of new hits, in 1958 he opened Randy’s Records, a store that would become one of the most traditional in the country. A decade later, with the record sales business already consolidated, the Chin family expanded its activities with the opening of a recording studio, Studio 17, where legendary reggae names such as Lee Perry, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs and Peter Tosh would pass through.
