CIDADE VERDE releases the bold ’In Jamaica Project’ after a trip to Jamaica!

2 Video Clips, 1 EP and 1 Documentary, these were the fruits harvested after the successful trip in March 2014 to the land of the king of reggae Bob Marley by Cidade Verde Sounds. Adonai and Dub Mastor went deep into their Jamaican roots, visiting the most famous studios on the island, Tuff Gong, a studio that Bob Marley created and which receives thousands of artists from all over the world every day, and Harry J studios where Bob Marley recorded dozens of his most famous songs. The result of this entire experience was in 2 Video Clips:

ROOTS

The “Roots” clip shows several locations on the Island, including Bob Marley's first home in Trenchtown and the paradisiacal Negril, with its beaches with crystal clear waters.

DON'T BE AFRAID

The video for “Não tenha Medo” was recorded entirely in studios, and features Dean Fraser and Dwight Richards on brass, Dave Prime Time on drums and Robbie Lyn on keyboards. This same team performs brilliantly on the other two songs that make up the project, “A luta continua” and “Foi Jah quem trouxe”.

DOCUMENTARY and EP

The entire trip was filmed, and the result is in a mini documentary made by the band. The news is that everything can be seen for free on You Tube, and the EP can be downloaded for free on the Cidade Verde website, and as a bonus, the 4 unreleased tracks on the EP contain DUB versions, with a total of 8 tracks of the purest reggae music made by Brazilians in Jamaican lands.
