Farewell to Noel Bailey! Original Roots Radics guitarist loses his battle against cancer!

Jamaican guitarist Noel 'Sowell' Bailey, original member of the famous Roots Radics, passed away on the last day of July from cancer at the age of 61. Bailey was diagnosed with cancer in June and had recently been performing with the Jamaican band 'Youth Professionals'. He began his career at the beginning of the 70 decade in Channel One, and was later part of the first lineup of Roots Radics with Errol ’Flabba’ Holt (bass), Eric ’Bingy Bunny’ Lamont (guitar), Wycliffe ’Steely’ Benett (keyboards) and Valentine ’Style’ Scott (drums). He recorded a series of hits with various artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Sugar Minott and Bunny Wailer. His funeral will only take place on August 31 at Kingston.
