If you were looking for a sound with a very rootsy instrumental and very romantic lyrics in Portuguese, in the vein of Jamaican lovers rock, we have good news. It's the band Roots Love from São Paulo, which arrived with the CD 'Pela Vida Inteira'. Led by Lira Martins, the band has a Jamaican influence, but also with elements of Brazilian music. The lineup also includes Roger Jesus (guitar and vocals), Douglas ’Earl’ Silva (bass), Roberto Steve (drums), Rafael Fernandes (keyboards) and Diego Regges (keyboards). Most of these musicians, despite being young, already have extensive experience with reggae. They have participated and played with bands such as Reggae Style, Leões de Israel, Filosofia Reggae, Solano Jacob and many others. The album was released on the Surforeggae label and is now available in the main digital download stores such as Itunes, Rdio and Deezer.
