The Wailing Souls have traveled the world spreading their positive messages through reggae full of harmony and quality, but the duo had never performed in Brazil.
Recently — from March 11 to 15 — the legendary band played shows through the SESC network at units in Ribeirão Preto, Araraquara, Piracicaba and two concerts at SESC Pompéia.

It's an incredible country! They really appreciate reggae music, especially the roots side..." - says Lloyd "Bread" McDonald.
Performing alongside partner Winston "Pipe" Matthews, the duo was impressed by how beloved they are here:
It was sensational — people were waiting for us when we landed, with our records and posters!"
Brazil has been a great refuge for artists from reggae's golden era, with 30 or 40 years of career behind them. Jimmy Cliff, The Congos, Horace Andy, the late Gregory Isaacs and Denins Brown — they have all had incredible moments alongside Brazilians, because a large share of their fans is concentrated right here.
Together since the 1960s, the Wailing Souls are responsible for several of the greatest classics of world reggae, such as "Firehouse Rock", "Jah Jah Give us Life to Live", "Shark Attack", among others.

The band is now heading to the United States, where a string of festival performances along the West Coast is already scheduled. Now we can only hope that this affection from Brazilian fans will help spark a new tour soon, since several states unfortunately missed out.Category
