Os Leões de Israel promotesram um verdadeiro espetáculo for a kids in the Reggae Little Lions!

What a party! What a vibe! On the afternoon of this Sunday, June 7, Victor Civita Square - in Pinheiros/SP - welcomed a crowd of little reggae fans ready for a true celebration, and that is exactly what the band Leões de Israel provided. As if the super pleasant space for parents and children were not enough, everyone was treated to a beautiful sunny afternoon.

MUSIC FOR ALL

One of the main proposals of the Reggae Little Lions project is accessibility, and the entire show was adapted so that deaf and mute people could make the most of the experience. Below the wooden floor in front of the stage, there was a set of subwoofers that passed all the sound vibration to whoever was above. In addition, the show featured two LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) interpreters, used by deaf people to communicate with other deaf people and even hearing people.

THE SHOW

The show began with a very humorous and interactive explanation of the origin of the roar. Since the participation of parents and children was essential, in this game alone the kids had already loosened up. When Leões de Israel took the stage, the party definitely began. The set list was packed with acclaimed children's songs, yet with excellent reggae reinterpretations. In the opening, the songs "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Hakuna Matata", both from the acclaimed film "The Lion King", stirred the square filled with a family-friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Next came three other Disney classics, "You've Got a Friend in Me" (Toy Story), "The Bare Necessities" (The Jungle Book) and "Under the Sea" (The Little Mermaid), making evident how incredible the result of the versions was, which even spiced up with reggae feel and groove did not lose that playful children's atmosphere. Calling the dads to the party, Leões delivered a spectacular sequence dedicated to king Bob Marley, with "Three Little Birds", which at the end mixed with "Don't Worry Be Happy", "Bend Down Low", which rescued part of "Lively up Yourself" and "Jammin". Even these acclaimed Bob Marley songs received a children's touch in the arrangements. Retrieving three national children's classics that span time and generations, "Querer é Poder" (Vila Sésamo), "Sítio do Pica-pau Amarelo" and "O Vento", the incredible song from Vinícius de Moraes's "Arca de Noé", entertained the audience greatly, especially the adults this time. Back to the little ones - how about calling the crazy characters from the cartoon SpongeBob? Imitating the voices live, the members simulated a conversation between Bob and Patrick as an introduction to the series theme song. The children loved it. Next, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" was a highlight with Fox Ahmad dressed as a wolf and interacting with children and parents. In the middle of the crowd, Fox stopped to take some photos alongside Maurício "Bug Monkey", original drummer of Leões who recently left the band, this being one of the first performances without him. To close, a medley of "Sambalelê", "Bote dos Indiozinhos" and "O Sapo não Lava o Pé" ended the more than successful presentation of this Reggae Little Lions, which promises to return soon, since besides parents and children leaving with that "want more" feeling, shows of reggae with this children's appeal are practically nonexistent in Brazil. Finally, the formula worked very well, and reggae partying is now ALSO "child's play".
