THE PAWN AND THE KING! Igor Salify plays show de releasesmento de seu primeiro record in the Pelourinho!

Since adolescence, fronting the band 'Direto ao Ponto', Igor Salify paved his career with good partnerships and knowledge until his solo journey began. Bringing in his baggage the clear influences of reggae, soul and blues — as well as all the musicianship of idol Bob Marley — this young singer, songwriter and guitarist lives in contact with nature, yet without neglecting the serious social issues of his surroundings and the world.

O PEÃO E O REI

After this musical maturing, new partnerships emerged, one of them with producer Werner Argolo. The fruit of this transition resulted in his first album, entitled "O Peão e o Rei". With seven original tracks, it is marked by the great sonic experience it provides, with songs in English and Portuguese, and its mastering took place in Jamaica at the hands of a legend. The person responsible for mastering was none other than the renowned Delroy "Spider" Thompson, sound engineer who worked with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, among others, and who unfortunately passed away on July 8, making the album "O Peão e o Rei" one of his last works.

Igor Salify and band will bring to Largo Pedro Arcanjo (Pelourinho) a vibrant, striking show accompanied by a sonic atmosphere subtly created for each song. The show will also feature special guest artists such as Pali OJC, Guga Fernandes (band Beijo), Renata Bastos and Magary Lord, and many others.
