Bahian artist Igor Salify has been causing a stir over the past two years as a promise of the new generation of National Reggae. His first album, "O Peão e o Rei", was mastered in Jamaica by Delroy "Spiderman" Thompson, the same sound engineer who worked with legends such as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and Peter Tosh. While preparing to release his new album "Vivendo o Agora", which features Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Vaughn Benjamin (Midnite), Laurent "Tippy" Alfred (I-Grade), Luis de Assis (Vibrações), Edu Sattajah (Leões de Israel), among others, Igor has just made a full live show available on the Internet. Captured with multiple cameras, professional audio and live without "makeup", the show was recorded at the traditional Santo Amaro da Purificação festival, home turf of some of the biggest names in Brazilian Popular Music such as Caetano Veloso and Maria Betânia. The repertoire includes original songs from the first album and from what is yet to come, plus some covers. The band features young, highly tuned-in and dedicated musicians who are making a sound like few others in Brazil. The lineup includes Werner Argolo (keyboards and musical direction), Iuri Carvalho (drums), Gabriel Riddim (bass), Nick Vai (guitar), Jonatas Duarte (guitar), Tiago Tamango (keyboards), Kekedy Almeida (backing vocals) and Kezia Menezes (backing vocals).
