Associação Cultural Reggae celebrates its anniversary in a show with symphony orchestra and guests!

Reggae in Concert is an unprecedented project in Brazil conceived by Associação Cultural Reggae and its partners. The proposal is quite simple but very ambitious and aims to expand the audience and bring reggae music in new formations, arrangements and venues. The idea was to join a reggae band to a symphony orchestra, celebrating the 19th anniversary of Associação Cultural Reggae. None other than the band Leões de Israel is preparing an incredible show with Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica Brasil, under the conduct of Maestro Maurício Galindo on two nights that promise a grand celebration with the best of reggae music. In addition to this great fusion, special guests will add an even more special touch to the night: Tati Portella, Killaman, Dada Yute, Rodrigo Piccolo and Junior Dread. The show repertoire was prepared with national and international classics that tell the story of reggae's conception and its transformation over time. Bob Marley, Gilberto Gil, Burning Spear, Skatalites and others will be represented. Associação Cultural Reggae developed partnerships with the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Fundação Memorial and Fundação Padre Anchieta (Tv Cultura - which will record the show and broadcast it on its programming). Founded in 1999, Associação Cultural Reggae is the first Reggae entity in Brazil, and aims to contribute to the social and cultural development of the population, to strengthen and preserve culture in Brazil.
