Groundation returns with a new album in September and promises to shake the international scene!

Four years after their last studio release, Groundation returns with an album that promises to shake up the scene both in terms of musical composition and social content. Taking the sound back to its foundation, the group was rebuilt by its vocalist and founder, Harrison Stafford, and features a dynamic ensemble of musicians from California and Jamaica. The album "The Next Generation" (in Portuguese, "A Próxima Geração") takes off like a rocket from its very first track, "Vanity", the first in reggae history with 12 horns. Lyrically and conceptually the album derives from its previous release "A Miracle", here shifting from the Mother of Creation to the Child, "The Next Generation". The album takes you on a journey with the militant tracks "Fossil Fuels" and "Prophets & Profit" to the subtle and sincere "New Life" and "Father & Child", among others. The sound quality is impeccable, designed by the great sound engineer Jim Fox and recorded on analog equipment from the 1970s. This album will stand as proof that Groundation has reclaimed its position as leaders in the pursuit of new original music and truth in the improvised Reggae / Jazz experience. A truly unique sound that fans have enjoyed for two decades on the world's biggest stages. The album will be officially released on September 21, 2018, but for curious fans, the cover art will be revealed in June along with pre-sales of two singles on digital platforms.
