Imagine: a band formed by reggae musicians from Pernambuco, led by renowned producer Buguinha Dub and recording songs in partnership with artists from all over the world.
This is what happened after the union of musicians João Falcão (Bantus Reggae), Erick Amorim (Caravana do Reggae), Dudu Lemos (Mikahreggae), Samuel Negão (Faces do Subúrbio) and Ewerson Selector (DJ from Vietcong Promotion) promoted by executive producer Jah Leo, founder of the RockersTime label, who through him makes contacts with artists from Brazil and around the world.
The choice of Buguinha Dub as music producer and sound engineer was also not for nothing. A big name on the Brazilian reggae scene, the Olinda native adds to the group the experience acquired through notable work with bands such as Natiruts, Marina Peralta, Black Alien, Planta & Raiz, BaianaSystem, Flora Matos and many others.
After we recorded the first eight riddims (instrumental bases of the songs), I looked for some artists around Brazil and the world to contribute to the project. In addition to Thorpido, we have already recorded with Marina Peralta, Red Lion, Natto and more to come…” — explains Jah Leo.
SOLDIER
In August, the project debuted with the release of the single “Soldier”, which featured the collaboration of Thorpido, a new generation singer from Kingston (JA). Thorpido began his musical career in 2009 and, with his striking voice and militant lyrics, he says his biggest influences include singers such as Capleton, Buju Banton and Bounty Killer.

The song was released on streaming platforms and BandCamp. And soon, it will have an exclusive version, with a print run of just 20 units, on a 10" vinyl record and special cover.
Based in Pernambuco and participating around the world, the group is already preparing other singles after the release of “Soldier”.
