Reggae BR Archive: memories of historic performances on Surforeggae's YouTube!

During social isolation due to the pandemic, many people sought new activities or even put into practice different projects. This was the case of “Arquivo Reggae BR”, a YouTube channel founded in mid-2020. Created by producers Henrique Pesqueira and Rafael Costa, the aim of “Arquivo Reggae BR” is to relive memorable moments from historic Reggae World performances that took place in Brazil. To this end, the two began to share rarities and many exclusive recordings from their own collections or in collaboration with other collectors spread across the country. The videos even recall presentations from the 90s and mid-2000s, where there were no smartphones with cameras and records were scarce. After some releases on the Channel, the creators decided that the “Arquivo Reggae BR” will be part of the Official Surfeggae Channel on YouTube. The Portal, which has already spent more than twenty years supporting reggae culture in Brazil, is preparing to bring new content to further strengthen the genre. Remember that show or that unforgettable international tour you checked out? The “Arquivo Reggae BR” on Surforeggae will feature unforgettable performances by names like Steel Pulse, Groundation, Israel Vibration, Dezarie, Peter Broggs, Apple Gabriel, Ziggy Marley, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown and much more… all of this took place in Brazil! The releases of “Arquivo Reggae BR” will take place every Thursday at 8pm on the Official Surforeggae Channel.
