SOJA has just won the Grammy with "Beauty in the Silence", an album that seems to have been prepared with a focus on the award, given the large presence of heavyweights such as Slightly Stoopid, Ali Campbell and Stick Figure. The buzz was enormous and the North American group was almost "cancelled" on social media, especially by Jamaicans angry with the result. SOJA defeated big names like Etana, Gramps Morgan, the always nominated and one-time winner, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal and the queen of dancehall, Spice. The subject gave people something to talk about, but the truth is that the band has been building its path professionally, something that has been lacking in many artists from the Island of Reggae.
