Surforeggae est honoré au festival « International Reggae Day » en Jamaïque ! À voir !

Portal surforeggae has just been invited to take part in the "International Reggae Day" Festival, which will take place on July 1 in Kingston, Jamaica’s capital, and will be broadcast worldwide on the internet. The event, which will exalt the power and impact of Jamaican music and its insertion into the general culture of the 7 continents, will take the form of a symposium. "Celebrating 40 years of Reggae: mapping the evolution of the genre since its creation" is the title of the meeting that will bring together the main artists and businesspeople from Jamaica and the world. Surforeggae’s representative will be Rafael Costa, who has grown very close to the artistic and business side of Reggae, having worked with several great names such as Gregory Isaacs, Israel Vibration, Don Carlos, Pablo Moses, Andrew Tosh, Alpha Blondy, Apple Gabriel, Dean Fraser, Groundation, SOJA, Eric Donaldson, among others - in Brazil and other South American countries. The topic addressed by the only Brazilian representative invited to the event will be the history of Reggae in Brazil, the current state of Jamaican music in the country, the profile of the Brazilian Reggae market and its future. Surforeggae’s association with the greatest artists in the genre today is evident throughout the South American market through Intershows.net - the group’s company that handles matters related to management and tours for 7 out of every 10 major international Reggae bands that perform in Brazilian lands. The Festival program includes 24 hours of celebration, also including a tribute to the great Dennis Brown, since the date coincides with his memorial.
