Check out the 1st Luau Scar Reef: a party to please all tribes on the northern coast of Bahia!

Musical diversity. That was the main characteristic of the 1st Scar Reef Luau, which took place yesterday (December 13, 2003), at Scar Reef Beach on the northern coast of Bahia. A spot well known to surfers, the beach was the setting for an amazing party, as proposed by the Event Production.
There was music for all tastes: Pop, Reggae, Forró, Samba, Rock and Dance. The audience could enjoy the last full moon of the year by the beach, in addition to the diverse shows that took place there. The night was opened by Rafael Pondé. With a fusion of pop, reggae and mpb, he warmed up the crowd for the marathon that would follow. Right after, it was the turn of Banda Forró no Kilo, which played authentic forró pé de serra, animating a lot with well-known songs, making the crowd dance.
The party, which started very early, was scheduled to run until the morning of the next day. After the good music played by Banda Forró no Kilo, Reggae took over all the audience's attention. It was the turn of Banda Mosiah, well known on the local scene. Singing their main hits already on everyone's lips, the band conducted their show taking the crowd to ecstasy. With great friendliness the band members interacted with the audience, making them sing louder and louder.
While the shows were happening on the "Pipeline" stage, nearby there was the "Waimea" tent, featuring several DJs, pumping up the crowd that enjoys "Dance Music". Now it was Samba's turn, with the irreverent band "Samba eu, você e Sua Mãe". The audience, still full of energy, awaited shows by Estakazero (Forró), Diamba (Reggae), Batifun (Samba) and Catapulta (Rock).
With a very different repertoire, the band Estakazero made its presentation showing the best of Forró Pé-de-Serra. The audience wanted more, and soon after came the presentation of the group "Batifun". Meanwhile, skaters were still performing on a track set up especially for the event, beside the stage
The crowd wanting to hear Reggae chords again, sang and danced to Banda Diamba, which presented a repertoire well known to the audience present. To close the party, Rock band "Catapulta" played its heavy sound, closing with a golden key the event.
